CarBasket is proud to be part of the SimhasthaTechHackathon, a national innovation challenge by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Madhya Pradesh, designed to create smart, safe, and sustainable solutions for Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain.

Our journey began with the theme of Health & Sanitation Management, where we developed SwasthyaSathi — a real-time health, hygiene, and sanitation monitoring system for pilgrims, administrators, and sanitation workers.

This page documents our round-wise participation, prototype development, and impact journey, highlighting how CarBasket is innovating for one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the world.

About the Hackathon

Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain will host millions of pilgrims, making health, sanitation, mobility, and safety critical priorities. The hackathon invited startups, industry experts, and academic innovators to design AI-powered, IoT-enabled, and scalable solutions for themes such as:

  • Smart Mobility & Access Management
  • Safety, Security & Surveillance
  • Health & Sanitation Management
  • Digital Experience & Cultural Immersion
Our Journey So Far

Round 1: Idea Submission (Theme – Health & Sanitation Management)

We presented SwasthyaSathi, a comprehensive solution addressing challenges in:

  • Disease Surveillance & Medical Aid – AI-powered detection of health threats, GPS-enabled mobile health units, multilingual medical assistance.
  • Smart Hygiene Trackers – IoT-based monitoring of public toilets, predictive cleaning schedules, accountability dashboards for cleaners.
  • Road Sweeping & Cleanliness Monitoring – GPS-verified cleaning logs, AI-driven schedules, real-time dashboards for supervisors.
  • Drinking Water Points & Pollution-Free Waste Zones – IoT-enabled water tank monitoring, AI-based heatmaps of clean/dirty zones, user feedback loops.
  • Smart Waste Management – AI-based smart bins, predictive waste pickup routes, transparency dashboards.

Our proposal was shortlisted after rigorous evaluation, and CarBasket officially advanced to Round 2 of the SimhasthaTechHackathon

Round 2: Prototype Development & Submission

In Round 2, we went from concept to working MVP (Minimum Viable Product). As per guidelines

  • We developed a cross-platform mobile app (Ionic + Angular).
  • Integrated offline-first MVP to work in low-connectivity environments.
  • Submitted demo video, GitHub repository, PPT, screenshots, and README file.
  • Delivered features like task allocation for sweepers, real-time GPS check-ins, multilingual user reporting, live dashboards for supervisors, and predictive alerts

This prototype demonstrated how pilgrims, supervisors, sanitation workers, and administrators can collaborate in one ecosystem for real-time monitoring and faster issue resolution.

Impact & Vision

Our solution promises to:

  • Prevent disease outbreaks by early detection and rapid response.
  • Ensure sanitation transparency with GPS-verified cleaning and AI-based predictions.
  • Improve water access & waste management with IoT-enabled alerts.
  • Boost pilgrim satisfaction with cleaner, safer surroundings.
  • Support Smart City adoption with scalable, modular, cloud-ready technology.

Future Plans

We are preparing for the Grand Finale (Indore, Sept 23–25, 2025), where we will showcase our working MVP and vision for scaling SwasthyaSathi at Simhastha 2028 and beyond.

CarBasket is committed to building AI-powered, eco-friendly, and sustainable urban solutions that go beyond vehicle recycling into community well-being and urban development.
